What was once a mobile game only is now a PC and Mac game as well: Total War Battles: SHOGUN has hit Steam. The title is based on Creative Assembly's fine work over the years with the Total War strategy series, but is tuned appropriately for a bite sized experience. There's still tactical combat, plus building and unit management, for those keen.
PC people get the benefit of anti-aliasing, improved shadows, and additional lighting effects (though the resolution looks locked at some weird mobile standard), Steam Achievements and leaderboards, plus the Sendai Faction pack for Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai. All of that comes at a premium, though, apparently: the game is priced at $8 vs its $5 mobile bretheren.
