First Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim gave us vampires and killer puppies in Dawnguard, and soon it'll have the Dovahkiin playing house in Hearthfire.
The second Skyrim DLC, announced just this morning, explores the domestic side of life up north. Coming to Xbox 360 next Tuesday, September 4, Hearthfire will essentially allow players to buy land, build a cute little house, adopt children, and defend all of this against "unwanted visitors." Sounds simple enough, right? Except in Skyrim, "unwanted visitors" probably refers to giants, wolves, and armed bandits rather than a rude neighbor or two.

No mention of the PS3 or PC versions were made, but seeing as how Bethesda previously confirmed the first two Skyrim add-ons would be timed exclusives for Xbox 360, we're not exactly shocked.
Keep an eye out for Hearthfire on September 4. Not surprisingly, its price is just a fraction of Dawnguard's, at 400 MSP.
