To promote the upcoming Mass Effect 3: Leviathan DLC, BioWare has taken a rather creative approach by dabbling in a bit of roleplaying. This morning sees a brief update on the official blog, and it reads:
I SPEAK THE TRUTH!!
Top of the line security, huh? Hmph. I don’t think so! I’ve successfully hacked into the Alliance News Network’s terminal, but this isn’t a safe connection and I can’t stay long. I don’t want to reveal my location on the Citadel and give C-Sec the advantage. I must be heard! Go read about everything that Hackett is trying to cover up! I am Bernard Plim and I speak the truth! Conspiracy Accountability League
The link you see at the end there goes to a blog that looks like it came straight out of the '90s, complete with multicolored text set against a starry background. Really, we're surprised they didn't go ahead and throw in a little Comic Sans just to spice things up.
For those who aren't fond of reading colorful walls of text, the blog is set up by a conspiracy nut named Bernard Plim, who seems incredibly concerned with the Alliance's secret Reaper experiments. Oh, and he mentions a Dr. Garrett Bryson, the very same guy who gets murdered in Leviathan during his Reaper-related research for the Alliance. Guess Plim might actually know what he's talking about, huh? Still doesn't mean he isn't completely bonkers.
Will Shepard come face to face with Mr. Plim during the events of Leviathan? Your guess is as good as ours, but we really hope so.
The single-player DLC launches today on all platforms (sans Wii U), and tomorrow on PSN in Europe.
