Namco Bandai hasn't waited very long before releasing Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition to consoles. Earlier today, the publisher announced that the boxed version will be hitting Europe and Australasia in a couple months, on October 26. There has been no mention of North America, unfortunately.
In addition to the full Dark Souls game, Prepare to Die includes the Artorias of the Abyss expansion and a new PVP matchmaking system. "Day one editions" will also have the soundtrack CD, a behind-the-scenes DVD, an artbook featuring content from the expansion, a poster, and some postcards. Probably not a bad deal, all in all.
The PC version launched last week, and already a modder has removed the resolution lock that previously restricted the game to a disappointing 1024x720. PC gamers sure work fast.
