Torchlight 2 release date to be announced at PAX, no more delays

The time has finally come, Torchlight fans! Most of us have likely preordered Torchlight 2 months ago, and have waited somewhat patiently for them to announce a release date. It's finally here, err, well, almost. Today, Runic games announced the date of when they will announce the release date for Torchlight II -- Friday, August 31 at PAX.

Woe, it was to hear that Torchlight II had been delayed from it's original release date in 2011. Yet here we are on the verge of a final deadline nearing fall of 2012. Runic Games wanted to make sure their game was exactly as they wanted, and all that's left is for fans to gage whether the wait was worth their efforts. Runic, I'm sure, will be pleased just knowing they did what they could to make their game meet the vision in their minds.

So who is going to run bets on this announcement? I'm hearing the odds are in favor of Torchlight being released during PAX, but with Guild Wars 2 being released tonight we wouldn't be surprised if we're still a month or so out. Ah, an exciting time for Torchlight fans, indeed!
