I Am Alive is finally headed to PC in September, six months after it debuted on Xbox LIVE and five since PSN. At least Ubisoft is throwing in a few extras, perhaps to make up for the long wait.
Aside from better visuals, the PC version of this post-apocalyptic adventure will include two new modes. The first, "Easy" mode, gives players infinite retries and "a smoother introduction" to I Am Alive. "Replay" mode, on the other hand, will allow you to revisit previously completed levels, in case there were any hidden goodies or whatever overlooked the first time through. No word on whether either of these modes will be added to the console versions.
The game is, as Ubi describes it, "an everyman's journey" through a world after it's been taken by disaster. The unnamed protagonist is seeking to reunite with his wife and daughter -- assuming they're alive -- but finds himself meeting and aiding many others along the way.
Expect to see I Am Alive on the UbiShop, Steam, and other digital retailers on September 13, for $15. As for pre-order incentives, Ubisoft is offering Bloody Good Time as a bonus game if you buy directly from them.
