Well I agree with Hayashi-San! It is their culture & we just need to accept it. I personally like the fact that thats what they are doing. At least there not as bad as how backyard wrestling & Rumble Roses did to the woman of those games. And all the costumes aren't provacative but it's alright to do that as long as they aren't intending to be pervs.

I used to be one of the complaining idiots who complained about the girls boobs & half naked costumes but in DOA5 they got my respect & I know they changed. But I don't mind the bikinis, besides I see them more beautiful then provocative. And if that's there culture then we need to accept that. Be happy they are letting us have this game in the first place instead of continuously complaining as if they are real girls. Besides, they are video game characters for gosh sakes & the game is M rated. GROW UP!!!!

And for the ass-holes who continuously complain about the girls needed to hear Hayashi say that. It's complainers like us & people who take this game way to seriously that make Japan look at us like were immature nuts. Let what Hayashi say be a lesson to all of y'all! <_

quote Krantos
It's the "it's our culture!" excuse.

Basically, they're saying they don't have to change because it's their culture. That's fine, but we don't have to like it. Nor buy it. And we don't have to shut up about it.

That's our culture.

Cuts both ways Hayashi-san.

Boooooooooooo!!!! Then I definently don't want that as my culture!!!! <_<

Bradbowllama97 Dude chill its just an opinion, and an opinion I happen to agree with. If it can be apart of their culture to portray women that way then it can be considered apart of our culture to be against that viewpoint, as such we have the right to voice our opinion on the matter just as they have the right to ignore it.

Well everyone is entitled to their opinion. But at the end of the day I though his & many others against Hayashi's was stupid. And I'm pissed that I live in a country where people get all defensive over shit like that.

SO THERE IS MY OPINION!!!!!!!!!!!! <_

But Hayashi is the one on the defence. Even though I'm not into the kind of games he's making, I'm not entirely sure why he feels the need to defend what everybody already knows DOA is.

Your right. But I think he's been asked that question by non Japanese interviewers so much that he just got mad. I'm not surprised because as you said that's probably what Itagaki would've did.

And I admit he shouldn't have been so defensive about it, but if people continuously keep asking that as if they didn't know since the beginging that one of the most important parts of the game is to make them as hot & beautiful as they could. So I really don't blame him at all.

And when Itagaki was around that was the #1 thing to do. But now they are really paying attention to making the gameplay awsome & then make the girls look beautiful like real women even though some of them have big boobs. But at least they aren't total pervs about it.

And not all the girls have ridiculously big boobs. Lei Fang & Christie have downsized. And they surprisingly didn't destro Sarah with huge ones either.

And as for the costumes not all of them are totally revealing. Look at the two suits Christie has,Kokoro's kimono,Lisa's scientist outfit,Tina's outfit with the beanie, Kasumi & Ayane's black ninja outfits,Kasumi's Kimono,Ayanes costume with the white hat, & pretty much all of Hitomi's costumes so far excluding the swimsuit. And those are only the new ones.

See people always pay more attention to every revealing costume the girls where that they don't even pay attention to the less revealing costumes tgey are trying to sh

That they are trying to show. And in alot of previous interviews Hayshi was trying to be nice but people continuously asking him that he just exploded. So everyone shouldn't even get mad.

For fricks sake. It's a game. Yes the women are scantily clad. They always have been. So...we say it's okay for 4 games, and then when the 5th game hits we've suddenly had too much boob?

Bullshit. Deal with it folks. The game is fun to play, the fighting physics are spot on, and the boob physics are AMAZING!

I have to agree with the people who say that this is purely American idiocy, although in truth it's less American idiocy and more Western Cultural idiocy.

See, in most places in the West, people will buy big, useless diamonds made with slave labor in Africa, not lose a wink of sleep over it. They will beat each other up and trample each other to get the latest iCrap, made from slave labor in China, and consider it business as usual. They will beat and kill people simply to be the first person in a store on the day of a big sale, and not bat an eyelash. They will shoot each other over a pair of new shoes, and blame the manufacturer for hyping the shoes up.

But show a little skin on something that looks to be a female...these sub-humans, these monsters, will start crying moral offense, even though they do a hundred things every day that hurt people more than merely looking at scantily clad women.

That is the age we live in now: it's no longer the individual's responsibility to interpret data, it's the creator's responsibility to cater to each and every person in the world, and to try not to make anything that is too offensive to anyone, even if the standards of offense are ridiculous. Untalented know nothings blather on about their "right" to tell other people what to make, and how they can make it, with said other people's own time and money. Shadow is so much prized over substance that you can get more time for pictures of a crime than for committing said crime itself.

Honestly, I wish Team Ninja (and everyone who makes these kinds of games) would quit apologizing to these dipshits giving their extreme chivalry rants. They will always exist, they will never be satisfied, period. So don't bother. And here's a protip for them (and the wannabe White Knights as well): logical, reasonable adults, fully understand that one person or group's fantasy portrayal of an entity is not a prescriptive description of said entity. IE there's a difference between something in a video game, and something in real life. These people on the extreme chivalry kick - they're on it because a) they want the power trip of saying they influenced design decisions, without actually having any talent to do their own thing, and b) they're overcompensating for being pieces of shit, and this is the one thing they can easily do to attempt this. Anyone who has ever made the observation that no man is more critical of his daughter's taste in men than the man who is a borderline rapist himself should see this.

In closing, good luck Team Ninja, hope to see at least one FG crossover done right this year (cause SFxT sure as hell didn't do it), thanks.

It's not even only this game series. Many games have alternate costumes of heroines in incredibly revealing clothing as an "extra".

As long as Team Ninja covers their cost, there is obviously a demand for their games and there really shouldn't be a whole fuss over them.

That has got to be one of the most idiotic and BS posts I have ever read. First of all, no one is actually complaining. Second, your a very sad and paranoid little man if you think there are large groups of people who are desperate for attention, and that they're trying to find it by influencing the game's industry.

Some logical, reasonable adults don't like the kind of stuff that's in this game, and so they might give their opinions on it. But honestly, who here is actually complaining? Where are the protesters against this game? There are none. I guessed you were talking crap through out your whole post, but the last line about the rapist was the last nail in the coffin.

Really, stop trying to sound intelligent and reasonable by throwing around random BS that makes no sense, and stop being such a paranoid mess.

Sadly he's right on a lot of things he says and I see his point... I honestly have to say as a general, internet is full of whiny people... there's always an ass clown who tries to talk big and acts as the world revolves around them. I believe that was his point above.
