Yeah but a ban for no other reason then reading something you don't want to hear is abuse of power.

And they are cry babys because other then not give the game two thoughts, they have to mention the distaste they have with the human body. If its not for you, don't cry about it noone cares, play something else.

I don't know where anyone is getting the idea that bluexy is threatening to ban anyone. He's just stating that he feels uncomfortable with Mystic Aurora post lately but in no way did he mention he would take action should Mystic continue posts.

Besides, I'm not even sure if he has that kind of power unless he's a mod (and I rarely see him post on neo forums so I wouldn't know).

EDIT: kik36 is the one you should really be worried about. I heard that he beats up little kids and permabans innocent people just because they forgot to mention him as Honorable and Wise kik36

It's not abuse of power and you're the only one talking about bans. He asked him to change the subject, nothing more. Don't turn this into something it's not please.

As for the article seemed like he was avoiding it, which is the best thing he could do given the subject is a touchy one and more than not somebody was gonna be displeased with the response like we are now.

I would've liked him to actually give a response though. This isn't something that's bound to change soon as already mentioned it's a staple of the franchise.

First of all, Mystic was never threatened with a ban. He was asked to keep his comments positive as bluexy thought they were a bit negative and argumentative.

You still have not answered my question. Nobody explicitly American has come out slamming this game, but if they did then so what? Nobody has mentioned a distaste for the human body. There is a big difference between finding the human body distasteful and not wanting people's personal parts on display. How do you expect them to give the game two thoughts? It may be a good game, but if that's not the kind of stuff someone wants to stare at in a fighting game then of course there not going to give it a second thought.
You're comments are slightly amusing Tenklis. You seem to be complaining about a completely hypothetical character as nobody here has actually whinged about the content of the game. No disrespect meant, but you were actually the first one to start complaining in this thread. Everyone else was pointing out how silly his defence for the fleshy fighters was.

I am not going to buy the game (as I'm not much of a DOA or even Beat'em up fan to begin with), I will play something else, and you're right that no one is really going to care one way or the other. Still, you can't make a post complaining about people who complain.

It's not about being American or whatever nationality though, it's about how we as a whole society view the oversexualization of women in video games/movies/tv/etc. because women have gotten more respect and rights in today's society so ethically/morally we should be appalled as a whole.

That's the point I'm getting at. I don't understand where this whole American thing came from, and though I understand Mystic's point about religious people being less open to the idea of games with overly sexualised women, I don't understand what that has to do with this game or the content of a game in general. Why do you suddenly have to be American or religious to not want sexed up games?
If somebody wants to buy a game like that then I'm hardly going to stop them, but I'm entitled to my opinion on the matter too.

He or whoever mentioned it first was just being rash I suppose when they first mentioned Americans are crybabies.

I think they were talking about the media over here which do tend to take things to extremes.

JacqueseVonRIP Ok "ashamed" is a tad strong I suppose embarrassed or humility is a better way to but it. I'm talking about things like changing in the locker room or basic natural things people are afraid to talk about(the growing up/older kind). The little Timmy thing was meant as in walking in on dad or something, do you honestly think I would suggest anything else? At any rate this is rather over the top and the wrong time&place for this particular subject.

It's true that the media dos tend to go crazy with game-related stories, but it's usually when someone gets injured or killed and they believe the game had some effect. Maybe it's different in the US, but I've never seen a news story about how games are terrible for making women out to be sex objects, or even about games that contain sex scenes. Tenklis was referring specifically to the showing of flesh.

If somebody wants to defend their reasons for wanting to play a game that some people find distasteful then fine, go ahead. Just don't use some cop-out excuse by blaming a whole group of people for your problems.

Lol. No that was a pretty silly thing for me to say. Sure, Tim walks in on dad while he's going to the toilet then I'm sure he'll be fine. For a minute I thought you meant that perhaps kids seeing nudity isn't that big a deal. Some people don't think it is, but I don't know...
But no, I think I get you now. Sorry about that.

Na, don't worry about it. I knew someone was going to think I meant it the other way one way or another. If somebody honestly thinks that they need their head checked imo, but no need to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

You know what runs through my head when I read his "explanation" of Japanese culture?

"Bullpoop." ;D

I kid, I kid. Honestly, as absurd as his words seem, he's not entirely off. East and West abide not only by different standards of beauty but also political correctness. The intermingling of different races (and both genders) that our society in the West has led to a lot of that, and as annoying and inconvenient as it seems, I appreciate it, as an Asian and a woman.

It's not so in Asia, which is why I've no plans to ever relocate to the "fatherlands." I don't like how gender and race aren't issues there. If you walk into a computer store here, you'll see monitors displaying nature shots or whatever other benign image. In Asia, you've got some nature shots, hot air balloons maybe... and many, many photos of scantily clad models made to look like 15-year-olds with unnaturally full tits. I understand that's the way it is, that an amusement park in China can give discounts to girls for wearing skimpy miniskirts and being groped on the train is just a thing in Japan, but I really don't like it. And I don't like the games and comics and media that comes from the acceptance of such things. I'm fine here in the US, where we're all crybabies.

Edit: Someone play the national anthem for me.
