Update: ArenaNet has announced that today's stress test will be extended to 6:00 PM Pacific. If you've yet to hop on for your Guild Wars 2 fix, you've got another hour starting now to do so.
Today's Guild Wars 2 stress test is underway, and a few minutes in-game is all you need to notice some of the more obvious changes.
Go into any major city, and you'll see clusters of players dancing. Yes, ArenaNet has added dance emotes, at long last. They're a little funky right now (for lack of a better word), but seeing Carlton's arm-flailing from Fresh Prince is always amazing.
Additionally, players who pre-purchased -- which is probably almost everyone in the stress test -- will receive their pre-order bonus items upon login. Folks who reserved the game at GameStop, for instance, will get the Hero's Band ring (above). Note that this isn't a bug, as ArenaNet confirms via Twitter:
If you got your CE pre-purchase items on your character during the Stress Test: it is intentional. You'll get those on headstart/launch. ^RB
Just check your in-game inbox to snag your retailer-exclusive gear, but keep in mind that the bonuses don't actually include all the digital items bundled with the special editions, just the pre-order incentives.
Now get testing and report any funny business. Guild Wars 2 will be launching next week, on August 28, with early access starting August 25.
