Just like it did in 1983. Except we won't have another Nintendo to pull us out of it.
What...the WiiU doesn't count?? LMFAO LMFAO LMFAO
Um, if gaming collapses and MS, Ninty, and Sony fall, who's left to become the next Nintendo and pull the industry out of the rut?
Any of the gaming companies that are out there, not just Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo. Heck, might not even be one of those three because when Nintendo released the NES back in 1985, they weren't even in the business of making home game consoles at the time of the Gaming crash.

Swampasaur thats exactly what it feels like, its like if Tara Strong suddenly up&quite. I agree on the miniguides and stuff and is part of why I'll still keep mine, but I quite reading them for the news and focus on the interviews and stuff like like the nes 25th anniversary.

I don't see how the no magazine means games will suffer. The community suffers sure but it doesn't mean the Nintendo (or anyone) will suddenly run out of ideas.

OK, WTF?

They screwed up my last subscription and I haven't had an issue for half a year or over. So we got that figured out and they offered me an extra free 6 months......

I still haven't got a goddamn issue since 2011. *bleep*.

I better get the last issues soon and then my $20 back.

I don't know that it speaks so much as to the quality of games. They were just unable to compete with the internet in terms of new, previews, and reviews. Pretty much everything they offered in the magazine was weeks old by the time people got it, and any big exclusive news they got was usually spoiled online early anyway.

That's was one of the main reasons I dropped my subscription when Future took over. NP had its place when it was delivering full color miniguides, maps, and tips. These things, while harder to write than a review, are harder to find online and work much better in a paper format since you can make notes, have it open on your lap easily, etc. When Nintendo stopped publishing it themselves and we lost the original Nintendo Power team, the same team that was writing Nintendo's official guides, they decided to make it a regular, boring gaming magazine doing all the same stuff internet sites were doing better and faster. I still use my older issues of NP when I replay a game like Golden Sun or Metroid Prime, since the maps and checklists are so helpful. Wish they would bring that format back, maybe as a digital magazine you can read on Wii U? Now that's an online service I would pay for.

Wow. This is just mind blowing. To be perfectly honest I feel like a bit of my childhood just died. I hope the NP Crew starts writing internet articles or something. I don't want to see that group disband. They worked perfectly together. T.T

Wow, super sad face. I haven't subscribed for Nintendo Power in years, but its awful to see it go. Nintendo has always been my love, so its sad to see anything Nintendo go under. :'(
