Konami still considering PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Will come after console releases, maybe
Action game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was originally announced for PC as well as consoles, but when development switched to Platinum Games, the platform was dropped. Eurogamer inquired with Kojima Productions creative producer Yuji Korekado as to what happened, and learned it's still being considered.
"Right now, honestly, we are doing our best to complete at the same time the PlayStation 3 version and the Xbox 360 version," he explained. "For the PC version, we will contemplate making it or not once we reach this goal of completing the PS3 and 360 versions."
Korekado then asked if Europeans would really want a PC version of the game, to which Eurogamer responded with a resounding yes, and noted the success of games sold via Steam.
"Then, with that in consideration, we will try to look forward in this direction," he said before noting if a PC version does come out, it will be after the console launches, which happen in February.
Let's just hope this doesn't turn into a Dark Souls situation, hm?
