Looks like Secret World players will soon be enjoying their first raid, possibly within two months.
The new raid was announced today, while Funcom is off at gamescom this week showing off their low-fantasy MMO The Secret World. Players can expect it to arrive "in a couple of months time."
Details are fairly scant right now, but they have revealed the location to be New York City, where players will aid the citizens against an unknown evil. Story details can be gleaned from speaking with refugees hiding out in the subway tunnels, while the city above falls under siege to monsters. Check the new screenshots for a sneak peek.
There also happens to be a special trial offer going on right now, which coincides with the gamescom show. Folks can redeem their trial on the main site simply by signing up, so long as you do so by Sunday, August 19. This unlocks a three-day pass to the game, which you can make use of any time, and if you beat at least 30 missions during the trial period, you'll earn another two days free.
