Update: And we've got some gameplay to show you, which you'll find below after the announcement trailer. It's an interesting bit called "Memory Remix," and shows off what Nilin is capable of.
Capcom have announced a brand new IP entitled Remember Me, a sci-fi action adventure revolving around a young memory hunter.
To be more specific, Remember Me tells the story of Nilin, "an elite memory hunter who is not only incredibly athletic and trained in martial arts, but also has the special ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even change their memories." Sounds like a pretty well-rounded individual. Problem is, Nilin finds her own memories erased, and the incident sends her on a mission to reclaim her lost identity while changing the world.
The game is expected to hit PS3 and Xbox 360 in May 2013. A PC version was also announced, though if Capcom's habits are any indication, it may come a while after the console versions.
Check some of the new screenshots below, after the gamescom trailer. We're definitely getting a weird Mirror's Edge meets Deux Ex (or Syndicate) vibe from this.
