Paul Meegan exits LucasArts president position
Follows Clint Hocking's departure to Valve
Paul Meegan has left his position as president at LucasArts.
He was in charge for two years, but, following the departure of Far Cry 2 and Splinter Cell designer Clint Hocking to Valve, Meegan has now decided to leave. Although he gave no hints as to where he would be going next, he said in a statement that he's proud of what the development team has achieved with projects such as Star Wars 1313.
"LucasArts has come a long way and I’m extremely proud of what the teams have accomplished. We had a great E3 with Star Wars 1313, and have other exciting projects in the works. It’s been a privilege to be a part of Lucasfilm. I wish the company all the best."
LucasArts will "remain committed" to current projects and they'll be "re-evaluating" the company's "leadership needs” to keep the studio focused.
Third-person action-adventure game Star Wars 1313 is currently the only known project LucasArts is working on.
