Bethesda partners with Symbiote Studios, vinyl toys incoming starting with Skyrim's Dragonborn
Dragonborn and Quake vinyl toys will be available at QuakeCon
Big news for figurine collectors out there, Bethesda has just announced a partnership with Symbiote Studios to stylized vinyl toys for all of their biggest franchises. Symbiote now has the rights to make figures for The Elder Scrolls, Dishonored, Doom, Fallout and Quake. The first of their products, a QuakeCon 2012 figurine, will be available in the QuakeCon swag bag. The second, a $9.99 Skyrim Dragonborn figurine, will be available for pre-order at Symbiote's QuakeCon booth.
More figurines will follow the Dragonborn's release this fall. I'd expect a Dishonored fig, mask and everything, to be released in conjunction with the game in October. Where they might go next is anyone's guest. A Doom guy fig, a super mutant, or any of a dozen other cool figs that fit into Bethesda's franchises.
Symbiote Studios is a popular figurine creator, with products that include Super Meat Boy, Monkey Island and the limited edition Jessica Chobot statue (now on sale).
