Hybrid walkthrough explains shooter's persistent map gameplay, ongoing world war

The matches in Hybrid might seem surprisingly intimate with its three-man team size, but the world itself emulates the persistent nature massively multiplayer games are known for. A new trailer from developer 5TH Cell educates us on this.

Hybrid boasts a global map and crams players worldwide onto a single server. This is to support the shooter's large-scale world war. Every match you play goes toward the ongoing global conflict and alters the balance of power. You'll be playing as either a Variant or Paladin, two factions vying for world dominance. When one side has won enough in this shooter tug-of-war, the world map resets and the whole thing begins anew.

You'll also get a special helmet, depending on whether your team wins or loses. Honestly, we prefer the losers' Bag O' Shame.
