Capcom's latest financial report has revealed that Dragon's Dogma has sold 1.05 million copies.
Japan was the region where the action role-playing game excelled the most regarding the bulk of its commercial success; it "exceeded expectations" at Capcom. Elsewhere, however, Dragon's Dogma failed to have a considerable impact in the market as the title "struggled abroad".
The publisher also said in their financial report that the commercial success of Dragon's Dogma has paved the way "for creating a series of titles".
As for a sequel, Hideaki Itsuno had expressed his desire for a successor, with the original only two-thirds the game he wanted to create.
