Gearbox heavily supporting PC version of sequel
Gearbox has released the system requirements for Borderlands 2.
The game's minimum system requirements are as follows:
- CPU: 2 GHz dual core 64-bit Intel or AMD processor
- RAM: 1GB of system memory
- Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible 512 MB graphics card, Nvidia 200 series series or AMD Radeon 4000 series.
- Operating system: Windows XP SP2
- DirectX compatible sound card
- 12 GB of hard drive space
Recommended system requirements for the sequel are:
- CPU: 2.8 GHz dual core 64-bit Intel or AMD processor
- RAM: 2GB
- Graphics: DirectX 10 compatible 1GB graphics card, Nvidia 400 / AMD 5000 series.
- Operating system: Windows 7
- DirectX compatible sound card
- 12 GB of hard drive space
Gearbox has stressed its support for Borderland 2's PC version on several occasions. After stating they're "properly supporting" the PC version, the developer detailed a slew of features Borderlands 2 will offer on the platform. The sequel will also ship with Steamworks.
Borderlands 2 is due for a release on September 18 in the US and three days later in European regions.

Griffsports If you pre-ordered it at a gamestop store you could probably ask them to switch your copy for a pc version

Judging by the specifications no.. The recommended are on the high end, there are only a few games out there that ask for higher system requirements than this right now.
