CD Projekt has responded to its job listing related to having multiplayer implemented into future titles from the Witcher developer.
Marketing head Michal Platkow-Gilewski stated that it's too early to comment on what the multiplayer hire is for as even the studio hasn't decided what exactly they plan to do.
"As for the job ad: this post should be named Multiplayer/Online Programmer. I don’t want to comment on what this guy will create, it’s way too early.
"We want to bring to the team someone experienced in this field to evaluate our concepts and ideas. He will be one of backbone elements of our R&D. We believe that there’s still a lot of space for innovation in the RPG genre. At this stage of our games’ development, we want to explore all possible directions, check what would be cool, what’s feasible and – always the most important for us – what suits our games the best."
The developed had listed a job listing recently seeking a multiplayer programmer who would be "creating a roadmap of changes necessary to add multiplayer to the Red Engine". Experience of Xbox 360, PS3 and PC role-playing games development is a "plus."
CD Projekt is currently working on Cyberpunk, an adaption of the pen and paper RPG series of the same name.
