Trilogy? It's only 2 on console!!!

Unless, of course, you count the upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: 'Mirror of Fate' on 3DS!! Alucard is in it, Can't wait

I'm a big fan of Castlevania games since it was released on Famicom!

Yes, Lords of Shadow was the BEST 'Castlevania' game on CONSOLE since 'Symphony of the Night' on PS One! (Of course Symphony of the Night had it own weaknesses, the re-using of the whole castle in an upside down format near the end! Lazy developers?).

For No. 2, I want a balanced amount of puzzles and actions, just like in Uncharted Saga...For instance, I want less puzzle solvings...For instance, in the first one, "how dangerous the music box is?" Stupid Music Box & Baba Yaga

All in all, I've a high hope in the ability of MercurySteam to deliver a satisfying sequel/conclusion to the Belmont's Dracula Saga!...Plus, Patrick Stewart's narrative was astounding, I want the same again!....Roll on 2013!

P.S. I guess the next move of MercurySteam will be long-awaited 'CONTRAAAAAAA'

I'm personally a fan of the handheld ones much more than the consoles (With the exception of SotN and Chronicles, of course.) I don't know what it is, but for some reason, the 2D and the 3D Castlevanias seem like a totally different series to me. Yes, I know, gameplay's way different, but that's not what I mean. Story-wise, too. I know every Castlevania game is about killing Dracula, maybe getting the Vampire Killer in the process, but the storytelling elements are so drastically different between the dimensions. (I've played every Castlevania since Chronicles, so I don't go as far back as some of you do, but my knowledge of the series is adequate...)
I'm excited for the next 2D Castlevania. I'm not going to dog on those who like the 3D ones, because they're very well made games with good characters and stories also, and they deserve respect, but I'm going to sit this one out this time. (Although I am interested to see what a fully-rendered, three-dimensional Alucard is going to look like.)
