EA Sports has yet to make a decision regarding gaining a separate licensing agreement that's required to include Rangers in FIFA 13.
The Scottish club, who is now a new company entitled Rangers Newco, was forced to the Scottish Third Division. A spokesperson for EA Sports has said while FIFA 13 will still include the Scottish Premier League and the 12th team that will replace Rangers, the club's inclusion in the game seems far from certain.
We have a licensing agreement with the Scottish Premier League. We have discussed the league structure with them and we will take their direction regarding the 12th club. FIFA 13 will be in retail stores beginning September 28 - after the start of the SPL season - so we have the flexibility to align with the authentic league structure.
As far as Glasgow Rangers are concerned, we have not made a decision at this time on whether we will pursue a separate licensing agreement to include them in FIFA 13.
FIFA 13 is currently scheduled for a release in North America on September 25 and three days later in Europe.
