Halo 4 'Forward Unto Dawn' live action series begins October 5
Chief played by Colossus-actor Daniel Cudmore
343 Industries has confirmed that the upcoming Halo 4 live action series Forward Unto Dawn will kick off this fall, on October 5. The date was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con this week, during the "Fiction of Halo 4" panel with 343i.
A brief trailer shown during the panel offered a bit more insight into some of the characters we'll be seeing through the series. As previously noted, the series will revolve around a young cadet whose run-in with Master Chief comes to deeply influence him as a soldier, and he eventually moves on to serve aboard the UNSC Infinity.
Chief will definitely be appearing in the series, and during the trailer, he's shown saving the young man and fellow cadets during attack on their academy. As the cast filed onto the stage for an impromptu introduction, one figure definitely stood out: Daniel Cudmore. Cudmore towers over his fellow actors as John-117 does over the soldiers-to-be, giving him away as the man behind the visor. He's also the guy who portrayed Colossus in the X-Men movies from a few years back, so yeah, he's a pretty huge guy.
Foward Unto Dawn will be available for free via Halo Waypoint (and other outlets) when its hits in October. Color us excited.
