You up for 20 minutes of Dead Space 3 footage? Sure you are. Quite a bit of this you've seen before, but some is new. Complemented by words from executive producer Steve Papoutsis, you get a hard look at co-op gameplay, new human enemies (Unitologists are at it again), and the old stuff like the icy environment and gigantic boss fight.
To an extent, it still looks like the same old Dead Space I've come to know and love, but I just can't get behind co-op no matter how much I try. It reeks of EA "inspiring" the developer (as they once put it) to include this, much as it seems they did with Dead Space 2 and its multiplayer (which was decent and not spectacular). In short, it feels contrived. It's a horror game for Christssakes, and horror rarely if ever mixes well with co-op, as Resident Evil has proven time and time again.
Anyway, Papoutsis claims you can ignore the whole thing if you like and enjoy the single player as much as ever, so here's hoping he speaks true.
