Activision has released a teaser for the recently announced first-person shooter based on The Walking Dead.
Terminal Reality will be developing the title, who is the studio behind Ghostbusters: The Video Game, Kinect Star Wars, the BloodRayne IP and Def Jam Rapstar.
The Walking Dead sees Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle embark on a "haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta." Players control the former character on their mission while trying to avoid being sighted by zombies, who can utilize their sight, sound and smell instincts to detect players. You can, however, decide to fight them or use stealth techniques to avoid zombies.
There won't be an abundance of supplies available in the game, so players will have to plan carefully such as managing their food and ammunition. As players progress through the The Walking Dead, Daryl will come across "a slew of other characters" who can either act as a friend or foe. The player, meanwhile, decides whether such characters can join Daryl; it "represents just some of the major decisions that will constantly be made while fighting to survive."
The Walking Dead is scheduled for a release sometime during 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
