Capcom announced today, leading into next week's EVO Championship, the upcoming release of Marvel vs. Capcom Origins. The XBLA/PSN title will be another packaged rerelease of two older games, Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom. There's no HD upgrade this time around, however, both titles will receive graphics filters, achievements/trophies, and online play with spectator mode and replays.
To top it off, Marvel vs. Capcom Origins will only cost around $15.00 on both XBLA and PSN. That's just $7.50 for both of these classic fighting games, replete with extensive online modes for competitive play. Some might say Capcom putting out all these rereleases is bad form, but Origins is everything classic arcade fighting game fans could want.
If you're still on the fence, make sure to check out the live EVO broadcast next week, where they'll be showcasing some Marvel vs. Capcom Origin matches live. If you're already sold, then all that's left is waiting until the September release schedule.
