I'm wondering how D3 players and potential players are handling this. Surely stating that their new game that has had a few hiccups during launch, isn't WoW and so won't be getting the same amount of updates, is going to hurt the player base.

I mean I understand that Blizzard are probably having to split teams across two games but I'm quite certain the mammoth that is known as WoW can survive several months while D3 is given the much love and support it needs right now.

Not looking good Blizzard...though please if anyone can spot the upside to this, do shout it out. I'm usually the first to slam companies like Blizzard but I am actually completely astonished at these "confessions" currently

Well the fact it seems "the fastest selling PC game ever released" is in fact an unfinished, unpolished and incomplete game is the biggest thing that surprises me...I mean come on, even the sister company, Activision knows to ship out a complete package first

I loved Diablo and Diablo II. Diablo III is a fun game.... For a while. I think that the biggest problem with Blizzard admitting their shortcomings for the game is the fact that it took them a decade to finally make it. After that long I figured a better story, stellar gameplay, and a reason to keep playing after hell mode.

I have not played Diablo I or II, and bought this game after reading all the hype about it.

I'm into RPG's, but this game was more then dissapointing. I managed to level up to 30 in 11 hours of gameplay, and kill Diablo twice in that time.

I then got informed that what I now have to do is repeat the levels I just finished but in more complex difficulty. That's pathetic! Never heard of a game asking its players to do that.

Sure- I agree with Blizzard that they can't keep releasing patches like they do in WoW, but at least they could have added more levels prior to releasing the game.

I fail to see where the decade long work has gone in this game

First off, this game is addicting as hell and I'm enjoying the ride so far the combat is very fluid and beautiful to watch and I'm loving the new classes and skills I mean I'm only on act 3 hell, but I can see that this game is going to dry up fast and its mostly because gold farming is not a fun way to progress to inferno, D3 is essentially a work simulator, I'm not saying Diablo 2 wasn't but it feels that way more than ever due to the auction house and the purely gold dependent economy.

Aside from that the story is forgettable at certain points (Cain dying to some random bitch we dont care about?? cmooon guys he's been in the series forever) and everything seems spoon-fed in the sense that there are too many cutscenes before bosses, after bosses, at the beginning and end of every act, literally every time something happens in the story you have a movie telling you the obvious leaving little thought to the player. Overall its just insane how much they try to shove a mediocre story down your throat and interrupt your grind with cutscenes with no option to turn them off. Both of the scripts and voice actors are forgettable which is a shame seeing the huge budget Blizzard had to pull off a better quality story one similar to the quality of the game.

I think the games biggest problem is that its a sequel to Diablo 2; one of the best ARPG of all time, people are going to find a problem with Diablo 3 no matter what, simply because its not its predecessor .

But after Blizzards shitty release, poorly executed story, no LAN or OLsingle player, nerfing skills/stats left and right, gold dependent AH(Like it or not have fun gold farming 24/7 to play inferno mode) and just the fact that there is not enough content there's just no excuse. Why even bother having a Beta if you servers can't handle day 1 and a month later you're going to tell everybody there is not enough content?!

Whats with Blizzard and always making us wait even after the damn game comes out that we have already been waiting 12 years for?

Ok. well here's my take.

This game is almost exactly like Diablo 2.

The biggest problem between what D2 had that D3 lacks is interaction with other players. Sure, you can go in and fight with other players but do you actually have reason to talk to these other players? No.

The Auction house, which I love, takes away from the personalness that was D2. Sitting in a room, bartering, trading, dropping items for people. Rushing was another form of being personal. to me, the sustainability just isn't there as there is no reason to interact with anyone. The people that you play with might as well just be more followers.

I'm totally loving the game. But, unlike D2, I can't see myself wanting to playing for 5-6 years. I'll probably play D3 for about 6 months and be on to something else.

In a weird way, Blizzard tried to fix or control or capitalize on what some were calling wrong with D2 and made it bland in the process.

Rushing - Never understood why this was wrong.

Farming - I remember them saying that Mephisto runs wouldn't happen in D3. But, they are alive and well. As they should be.

Hate to say it,but My Sword being a hack kind of made it funner to have.
