Not too sure about that; personally, I've heard (and wrote about it) so many times that it clicks. Microsoft's leaked document also refers to it as the Xbox 720 so...

i don't know why, but the whole Radial/degree thing never really appealed to me. I mean I have one, but I tend to just say xbox. Not sure why, but it just always bugged me.

Right.

Personally, I don't want to see next-gen at all. But since it's inevitable, I hope it's the last console generation when it does arrive, what with cloud gaming taking center stage, etc.

See I think the end of console generations will likely never come or is way off. They will always find some way to call the old ones obsolete and sell us new ones. Just my opinion though @zakislam.I mean just look at the nintendoDS. They went from a ds, to a dslite, to a dsi, to a dsilite(iI think).then to the 3ds,and soon enough they will probably get to a 3ds lite. I think our only hope is that the disc tech doesn't get any better, or like you said, cloud gaming becomes the main way to release new games. Either way, I won't complain too much.

I hope that's not the name. I get that they're trying to integrate all their platforms, but at least with the mobile and desktop OS, they actually are on the 8th versions.

Weren't some people speculating Xbox Infinity before? Sideways 8 and everything, you know. It may have been because of another domain registered for Halo 4's multiplayer mode though, I can't remember.

Microsoft has been working on acquiring these domains for a while, almost certainly for the non-xbox 8 related names. It just expedited the process to acquire all of this dude's Xbox domains rather than one or two, and then regret it down the line.

No speculation needed here, folk.

Bluexy is right. This kind of thing happens all the time. Still, I couldn't help but think, Xbox8....because it's an 8th generation console? That's kind of stupid.
