At long last
After about a year in beta (classic Valve), the Left 4 Dead 2 DLC known as Cold Stream is finally about ready to launch. You can expect the content July 24 on PC, Mac, and 360.
Cold Stream, if you're unaware, contains six new maps: Cold Stream, Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Dead Air, and Death Toll. There are also some "surprises and details" to come from Valve at a later date. For now, it can be said all mutations will be available at all times, including user-made ones.
As ever, we expect this to be free on PC and a relatively small amount on 360. Confirmation and more info as it comes in.

That said cold stream is a pretty good map but the real prize here is all the other maps we'll be able to get. Wonder what goodies they have in store for us.
Luckily, I dont have L4D because i knew this would happen after hearing about The Sacrifice having No Mercy.
I played A LOT of system link in my basement before I got Xbox Live
L4d1 has since past its life cycle when the sequel came out and the porting of the maps has been known for about 2 tears now, when no mercy was ported.
its like when they made tf2 free to play.
I'm suspecting it will be delayed, but I've still got my hopes up regardless.
