Dungeon Fighter Online hits Steam with update, rewards
2D action RPG easier to play than ever, and better
Marking the second big free to play game to hit Steam this week following Tribes: Ascend, Dungeon Fighter Online is now on Valve's platform, and with some goodies.
The game, for those not acquainted, is a 2D action RPG MMO beat-em-up...thing, which we reviewed rather favorably. It appears it's now better than ever thanks to a new update which brings in the new male Mage class and its two subclasses the Elemental Bomber and Glacial Master, increased screen resolution (it's still a paltry 800x600, though), four new dungeons, a new title system, and a bunch more (see the trailer above).
It's also a good time to get into it because creating a character will net you a few handy items: a Skeleton Key for opening "Lost Treasure", and Golden Apples which restore your HP and MP. Characters must be created between now and July 11 to be eligible.
Hit the source if you want to get playing. DFO is the second Nexon title to arrive on Valve's platform, with Vindictus kicking things off. Combat Arms is expected to follow. Dungeon Fighter was also recently announced for XBLA.

I'll give this a shot, I guess.
I love this MMO, reminds me of Streets of Rage, which I happen to love to heck and back.
I only use Female Fighter, though, had her since the game first launched for US.
