Following yesterday's wild "Meet the Pyro" video, the Pyroland update for Team Fortress 2 has gone live. Here are a bit more details -- hopefully everyone's already seen the video and won't be spoiled by any of this.
After downloading the patch via Steam, you'll quickly notice some...changes. As PC Gamer puts it: "The update gives every class a pair of Pyro goggles, which allow them to see into the magical world of Pyroland. A whimsical, beautiful place where no-one dies and everyone is friends. In Pyroland, everything is brighter and more colourful. There’s no blood or pain, instead hurt enemies spray balloon and confetti, and laugh in excitement. Medikits look like cakes, and dominations are friendships. Also, all the signs read 'MMM MMMPH'."
You'll also notice a would-be flamethrower that spouts rainbows, a lollipop shaped axe, the Burning Bongos, and lots more weird junk. Lastly, there's the new Special Delivery mode and new map Doomsday.
Boot Steam now to get in on the whimsy.
