The countdown has reached zero, the time has come, the Meet the Pyro video is available for everyone to watch. Whatever you were expecting, you have no freaking idea what awaits you. Team Fortress 2 has wrapped up the Meet the Team videos in an appropriately epic way. And to add a cherry on top, Valve also made an announcement -- introducing the SFM, the Source Filmmaker.
SFM is the tool Valve itself used to create each of the Meet the Team videos, condensing the, "production pipeline of an animation studio down onto a single PC." Valve designer Brett Raitt added:
"The goal of the SFM was to develop a story telling tool that allowed us to create computer animated movies more efficiently, and with greater creative freedom. Over the past five years, we've produced more than 50 animated shorts with the SFM. The Source Filmmaker will allow our community to create their own movies in Team Fortress 2 and in their own Source SDK-created mods."
The SFM will be made freely available later this year, but you can register for a shot at the closed beta right now.
Day 3 Pyromania content has yet to be revealed, so expect an update on that later. Until then, I recommend watching the Meet the Pyro video for a fifth time. Yes, let it take you in and slowly twist your psyche into a monstrous, evil thing. There are many Pyros that play Team Fortress 2, but only now will we truly see them for their true nature. You hear me, Pyros? You're sick, and we're on to you now.

Update: Day 3's content update has now been detailed. In order to avoid spoilers I won't list the items or their descriptions, but you can assume that all those fancy Pyro toys in today's video are being added in-game. Additionally, the Pyro's "Optical Mask" will be free for all players who play between now and July 5 -- available for all classes. Brilliant.
