Trailer suspiciously absent from the North American broadcast
Animal Crossing 3DS was showcased during the Japanese broadcast of Nintendo Direct tonight. I wish I understood Japanese or knew much of anything about Animal Crossing, because I'm virtually useless on this subject!
All I was able to pick up was that new characters will arrive in your town via Street Pass. Help us out; if you notice any exciting new details post a comment.
Check out a recording of the UStream broadcast below. Thanks to Neo user Gotenks for finding this and posting it in our forums.

might pick this one up for old time sakes...
When you see the light poles and crap with the price beneath them, you can buy them and put them in your town, because you're now the mayor of your OWN town you get to do whatever you want with it, that skunk guy will build what you want to put in your town.
Tom Nook, Able Sisters, Katrina and our beloved train still work the same as it did when Animal Crossing first came out... or if your new... It works just like the gates in your town, it lets you leave your town and go visit people.... except its.... a.. train...
Then I played wild world, and spent an hour picking weeds. xD
No, Able Sisters won't have accessories, as I said, it'll be like when Animal Crossing first came out. You are correct, the pink llama will be the new accessories, and she will have a once-a-day feature like Gracie, where you give her some bells and she gives you a "makeover".
