League of Legends plagued by massive queue times, missing content
Update Servers are up finally, queue times still iffy
Update 3: Seems Riot has been keeping busy all night. Six hours ago, the servers went back up "at a very basic level for stability." The last tweet warns that queue times may still be on the ridiculous side. After attempting to log in just now, we can indeed confirm that queues are still a bit longer than usual, rounding out at roughly 20 minutes.
Update 2: Servers have been taken offline. As of 6:30 PM PST, they are still down, and Riot has set up a special Twitter account to keep League players updated. The last tweet, posted 12 minutes ago, reads:
We are currently fixing some hardware issues and are working to get servers back online as soon as possible.
Update: Riot has since removed the official "help" thread and servers are up, though ranked matchmaking is currently disabled. Expect to run into a few leftover snags, however, as some players are still reporting.
League of Legends players attempting to log in today are reporting a mess of problems, from hours-long queues to missing champions and skins.
Major issues began as early as this morning, when Riot had to momentarily disable logins to investigate. A little over an hour ago, content loss was still being reported, though login queues are supposed to be "stabilized." The latest update on the official forums shows that Riot is already starting "the earliest stages" of restoring accounts to players who lost their content.
Interestingly, one issue players had encountered was an unreasonably strong Baron. For a time, he became nearly impossible to kill and reportedly aced entire teams with non-stop acid rain and massive damage. That's actually kind of hilarious; missing champs, skins, and runes, on the other hand, isn't nearly as funny.
Thanks for letting us know, SPAZwazza.

Edit: Ah there it is

The "Over 20000" message is a standard message they show when there is a queue (generally after a patch/downtime).
For the record this is the second time this same patch data has caused problems. A few days ago this patch was rolled out, but it severly messed up the game, making games not start once champion select ended for most players. The game was then taken down within the hour, in total that day there was around 19 or 20 hours of downtime, in which the game was rolled back to the previous patch.
NOT THE SONY MESS AGAIN D:
