MechWarrior Online Founder's Packages go on sale, $120 'Legendary' paid tier added
Early access and release also delayed a tad
MechWarrior Online may be a free-to-play game, but starting today, prospective players can spend very real money on any of the upcoming shooter's various Founder's Packages. And, in addition to the previously announced ELITE and VETERAN tier packs, a new LEGENDARY tier has been added to the list.
You'd think with how the other two Packages are priced that the LEGENDARY version would just be another $30 extra over ELITE. Not so, and players interested in the highest paid tier will need to fork over a surprising $120 -- double the price of ELITE.
So what do you actually get for the triple-digit price tag? Everything the other tiers are offering and then some.
$120 LEGENDARY Founder's Package Includes:
- All 4 exclusive “Founder's BattleMechs.” These Mechs include a lifetime, per-match C-Bill booster.
- $80 value of in-game currency for in-game item purchases.
- Three-month premium account to MechWarrior Online at launch: Earn XP & C-Bills faster.
- Founder's Tag - sets your status apart from the crowd & get noticed in-game and on the forums.
- Game credits – The player’s name included as one of the “Legendary” in the MechWarrior Online game credits.
- Early access to the game along with Founder's assets availability starts August 7.
As with the other bundles, the in-game currency won't be awarded until early access starts on August 7, which is actually a few weeks later than originally anticipated. MechWarrior Online is currently in closed beta.
Head over to the official site for to spend money, though don't panic if it loads a little slower than usual today. Just as a refresher, here's what the other tiers are offering:

Cant help but hate that in every way.
Gaming, you filthy filthy whore.
If it means I'll be piloting a Flea for a month before I can upgrade, then maybe I'd be a little bit mad.
In that case, I'd probably just buy the $30.00 pack.
