I'm finding it hard to give a shit about this new Xbox.
I'll hold on to the 360 for a while longer.
This just seems like Microsoft waving frantically at their audience saying "KINECT!!! IT HAS KINECT!!! LOOK AT THE KINECT!!!"

Does it have a 'full backward compatibility' with 360 games?
Assuming this is real, then it sounds like it. They actually put in the same exact hardware as the 360 has for backwards compatibility, plus the new hardware.

All I know is I bet gta 5 doesn't get released until the new Xbox/Playstation comes out. The first trailer will mean nothing.

GTA V will not be a next-gen game. They have been working on it since GTA IV was released, and Rockstar didn't possess any next-gen dev kits to start building GTA V for the 720/ps4. Keep dreaming though....

Apparently the rumour being banded around to discredit this is that it was a school project some kid made in 2010.. Yet the fact Kinect only launched in November 2010 and mentions Kinect V2, plus the document relates to Smart Glass a technology only announced two weeks ago seems to discredit the rumour. I think this is legit.

It's made to look like it's from 2010, but there's no way of knowing if it really is. Some of these images were leaked before, but someone could have easily taken those images and created a new document revolving around them. As far as I know, SmartGlass wasn't one of the original images leaked, so I don't think that would add to its validity.

That being said, I'm still 50/50 on whether it's real or not.

Keep dreaming? Why would I care if gta is next gen or not? Gta 6 would be for sure, so who cares?

And gta 5 will be next gen, I still stand by that. Rockstar works on games for years, and they released a shitty teaser trailer last year with NO other info for a game supposedly getting released this year. Yeah, right. And don't bother with "it will be released next year" garbage. Rockstar isn't going to release a game the same year that next gen consoles come out.

And besides, I would actually prefer the game come out for current consoles, so your "keep dreaming" comment is that much dumber.

Developers have had their hands on development kits for PS4 and 720 for 1-2 years now.. It's why Watch_Dogs is being made and Star Wars 1313 is being made, games that are for PC and next gen.. Rockstar being one of the biggest developers in the World would have gotten the dev kits a rather long time ago.

So they can't release it this year then either, because the Wii-U comes out.

UbiSoft said at E3;

“As far as the platform goes, we're running on PC at the current E3. It's official for PS3 and 360. And since we don't have any ship dates, we're also hoping for any other platforms, multiple platforms, for the future.”

It's coming to Playstation 4 and Xbox 720 but because the systems haven't been fully unveiled they can't mention them by name.

If they can pull off full backwards compatibility at a price point even $349-450 they can win A LOT of upgrade customers, including me .

Does anyone have opinions on keeping the controller unchanged? I'm quite happy with the 360 controller as is, and if you combine full game backwards compatibility with an unchanged controller/accessories platform, it means a lot of upgraders can upgrade with minimal fuss.
