Put those skills to work
Now that the leg work is complete on the game itself as of the last major patch, Red Orchestra 2 developer Tripwire Interactive is focusing on the mod community, launching a contest rewarding avid modders.
Dubbed the "Counterattack Community Mapping Contest", the prizes include two bundles of $15,000 (one for best new map and one for best new remake), an Origin laptop, NVIDIA graphics cards, Intel CPU and mobo, and Logitech peripherals. More prize details will hit soon.
Entries are due in August; Tripwire recommends starting now if you're serious. Hell, if you do well enough, you might end up with a job at Tripwire, as some have before.

Given the weird glitches I experienced two nights ago (reloading not working, reloading working but the animation not displaying; clipping through the terrain, getting stuck in the terrain; bolt-action rifles firing like a semi-auto until all five rounds were depleted, shots that were dead-on center mass at no more than 30 meters not registering as hits, and getting spontaneously demoted until restarting the game and joining a match) I would say they have a little more work to do. To be fair, gameplay is normally a very pleasant experience, but there are definitely a few more things that need attention.
