Just want to add something :-

It is about El-Dorado. I did some research and it seems that a "golden man" did exist in South America once. When Spanish arrived at South America in 1500s, they have heard of tales of men who are covered in gold (whether as armour - which could be quite heavy) or laid gold dust onto their skins to make it glitter. The Spanish did not find these "El Dorado" men and over time, it had become a legend of a city of gold.

The difference between Uncharted and Tomb Raider :-

1. How the characters get into the situation. Drake went in on his own, Lara got thrown in.
2. How characters response to situation. Drake went guns blazing while Lara was reclunctant at first to shoot.
3. Drake didn't seem to lose anyone, while Lara did lost two people close to her.
4. Last boss fight in TR was way better than Uncharted 1 and 2.

Similarities : Both game scenario was based on facts.

The legend of Himiko and Yamatai was written in ancient Chinese texts as mentioned in TR and it also mentioned that Himiko was an old woman. Therefore the first Monarchy of the Japanese people were a woman.

While the first scenario in Uncharted 1 (E-Dorado) was more toward a legend (a city of gold transformed to a golden man), the second game was more toward historical data. Did you know that in 1938, there was three expeditions to Tibet and Nepal, sponsored by Himmler and it was lead by a man named Ernst Shaefer? Yes, the name Shaefer can be referred to Karl Shaefer who lived in the village up in the mountain and helped Drake. In all three expeditions, they were trying to find the way to Argharta - an ancient city which said to exist underground in mountains of Tibet. Very close to the game facts here.

I know Uncharted's inspiration was Tomb Raider/Indiana Jones. But now it just seems that this installment is simply Uncharted with a female character skin. The animations for jumping and flying down the zip-wires are sooooo similar to Uncharted's! And even the gun combat shouldering the camera really looks like Uncharted. It's okay saying there are different actors, atmosphere and emotions... but i'd need alot more to show that it's not simply Uuncharted's gameplay with the Lara Croft tag on it.

Previous 'Tomb Raiders' focused too too much on puzzle solvings to progress...I don't want it in new and rebirth one...I want a balance amount of action and puzzle solving, in addition to story-telling....that's why Uncharted is popular...A balance amount!! Most of the developers still don't know what does a balance amount mean?

Tomb Raider is an amazing series, and so is Uncharted, so I don't see what a problem would be with them having similarities, Uncharted borrowed some stuff from Tomb Raider, and now vice versa, nothing wrong with that, as they're still two completely different games.
