Diablo 3 Real Money Auction House is up, bids already exceeding $200
Diablo players are also pretty baller
If you've been sitting around aching for a reason to toss your money away, Blizzard is happy to oblige with Diablo III's RMAH. That's right, Diablo addicts, the Real Money Auction House has gone live, and your fellow players are already scrambling to spend their real cash on legendary in-game goodies.
The current trend seems to be items priced around $30 to $40 with max buyouts of $250. Is your wallet starting to feel lighter yet?
As the image above confirms, folks are entirely willing to pay unreasonable prices (to no one's surprise). One player's screencap of his Battle.net transaction history shows he's already loaded his account with $2,000 in preparation.
Every transaction has a modest $1.00 fee attached, but Blizzard does take a 15 percent cut when you transfer funds from the game to PayPal. This rings true for weapons, armor, and other equipment, while commodities like gems, mats, recipes, and dyes carry a 15 percent transaction fee in addition to the transfer fee. Can you say ka-ching?
We're also hearing through the Diablo grapevine that one million gold is going for roughly $2.50 USD right now.
Thanks for the heads up, tekmosis.

haha, oh my. I wonder how much I can make off of the RMAH.
Now to grind for items and sell them once they hold little to no monetary value on the AH!
Cant wait 5 months down the road when these people dropping this type of cash realize that it was wasted D:
