No nomination for Usher or Dance Central 3?

Thank you.

I guess there weren't even enough RPGs featured at E3 to warrant a "Best RPG" category? That's so disappointing. On the bright side Ni No Kuni looks really interesting. And of course Atlus has Gungnir and Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time coming to the PSP, even though I guess they didn't present them at E3.

Felt a bit short on RPG's at the show and many of the ones we hit were projects actually hitting in 2013. We tried to cover what we had strong impressions of from the show though.

I doubt that FIFA 13 will have a higher/good rating when it's released in the next few months.

@ Dr. Van Helsing I thought the same thing and then fought for NBA Baller Beats, but then they took away all my votes.

NBA Baller Beats does look interesting tbh, but I'm afraid that the controls are either going to be disappointingly restricted, or impossibly complex to control everything that you need to. Either way, with that, and something more akin to what we're used to in NBA Live '13, it should be interesting to see how NBA 2k13 does with competition and how they are different. Still looking forward to FIFA 13, even if there are some doubters.

I can't stand NBA Live and even EA knew they were blowing it when they canned NBA Elite as the attempt to rebrand the fail. I'm open for new people to experiment in the arena but if we're hoping for something to meet the bare minimum of Live then I probably wont get into it all that much.

The last time I played NBA Live was back in '03 with Jason Kidd on the cover, haha. From there I switched to NBA Shootout '04 (T-Mac on the cover), and skipped around from there before settling on 2k, and I'm curious to see if the NBA Live series can be successfully revived. It will be interesting to see a bit more of a selection when it comes to NBA games this fall though, that's for sure. I am glad that 2k hasn't just been coasting without the competition over these past couple of years, and if anything I'm hoping that NBA Live coming back, even if they don't consider it a threat, will motivate them even more.

For sure, the NBA license is pretty much the only open space for competition, EA is sitting on the Football licenses for god knows how long now so they can retain #1 rank against themselves. MLB is pretty much the reverse situation with 1st parties free to make games but EA is out in the dust. Although I was always pretty big on 2K vs Triple Play.

As a big RPG fan I think I just get more and more sad each year. That said I was surprised Halo 4 got best of show, but then I really wasn't paying a lot of attention to it.

I was mad that you picked Dishonored over Watch Dogs. But then I saw the gameplay trailer for E3 and I wasn't mad anymore.

BlackScythe I'm a huge RPG fan too, and sadly I think we're doomed to see the genre be adapted into more popular titles. I mean, every single one of those action games has RPG mechanics, Dishonored, Borderlands 2 and Darksiders 2 for instance.

Regarding "true" RPGs, to be honest, we just didn't get much hands on time. South Park: The Stick of Truth, Fable: The Journey, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Heroes of Ruin, Penny Arcade 3 (I don't think this was anywhere at the show) and of course our likely favorite Ni No Kuni. Oh, and of course Kingdom Hearts and Persona 4.

Darknet I wouldn't have thought to vote for Dishonored, but then I got to play it. So much fun.

RE 6 has been my most dissapointed game, having enjoyed pre RE 4 tittles and the Outbreak series i can safely say that RE is dead for me.
