I take it the other games weren't survival/horror? If so this is great, as a fan of the genre I'm always welcome to new games. Gonna keep my eye on this one.

This game sounds like it could be amazing. Never played the first one, so looking forward to this.

Ded Valve Honestly, it felt more like a survival horror than the actual survival horror games like Resident Evil or Dead Space 3. I was impressed with the atmosphere of it.

Metro: 2033 was more survival horror than 98% of all purported "survival horror" games and they just set out to make a horror game, there were no gimmicks it was a true survival whether they intended it or not. It excites me that Metro: Last Light is actually going out of its way to be survival horror.

I really hope there isn't a ton of gameplay on the surface. In Metro 2033, you'd be fighting (surviving) through tunnels for what felt like ages, wishing to get to the surface just to escape the claustrophobia. When you finally got to the surface however, it was no better. Terrifying, even more dangerous and completely unfamiliar. It really added a sense of how the Metro had become humanity's new home. I think if there's too much exposure to the surface world it will lose a lot of what made it special. I do have faith in 4A though, and whatever they wanna do will probably work out.

I absolutely loved 2033 and will almost definitely buy Last Light for PC on release.

>implying dead space and resident evil are survival/horror

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOL. Now that that's over, I'm still excited for this game. I may have to get the other metro games since I'm assuming they'll be sold for bargain bin prices.

EA and Capcom certainly believe so. ;D

Hilariously enough, before the demo began, 4A said to us, "We hope this give you f***ing nightmares."
