Watch Dogs E3 demo features stunning cyberpunk sandbox gameplay
The closest thing to Deus Ex since Deus Ex
Cyberpunk games have been beloved since their inception, but the only one I can think of that's come close to the ambitious heights Ubisoft Montreal's Watch Dogs seems to be after is Deus Ex: Human Revolution (funnily enough, made by Eidos Montreal). If more of that but with a fresh presentation and approach sounds like it'd do it for you, check the videos below.
In short, the premise is today's technology obsession has been taken to extremes in the near future. The attitude taken by the main character seems to be, "If I'm being exploited by technology, I will exploit technology myself."
I can't wait to see this one in its full glory on PC come release time, though hopefully it impresses on PS3 and 360 as well. No date is set yet.

however, something I've seen brought up a lot today, is that despite how good an idea it is it looks scripted. Not sure if i'd be happy with that, I would buy the hell out of a game where you can do that kind of stuff in free roam
THM I got a Hitman vibe too. And the graphics were stunning, reminded me of Heavy Rain.
After I finished jizzing in my pants after seeing that gameplay video, I did think about this. The demo did seem scripted. Like, what if he had waited 10 extra seconds to jam the traffic lights? What if the car got away?
