Ubisoft @ E3 2012 Live Blog: Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3, Rayman Legends & Watch Dogs
International publisher sets stage for its own franchises, including Wii U offerings
Ubisoft's E3 2012 press conference isn't the last on today's menu, but it promises our first glimpse of some third party Wii U titles, and that's before we get to Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3 and Ghost Recon! Ubisoft has already revealed Splinter Cell: Blacklist during Microsoft's E3 conference earlier today, so perhaps we can expect to hear more about it during the publisher's officlal media briefing.
4:20 PM Tyler and Tobuscus end the show with the decree for us to "do that shit!" And do it we shall, or at least our boys on the scene!
4:17 PM But it looks Pearce himself can be hacked by the system! The tables seem to have turned, but the player is put in control of another character! And there's the cliffhanger ending.
4:16 PM Pearce sure is handy with the gunplay. And of course there are explosions.
4:15 PM And of course the shootout begins.
4:15 PM Even the traffic lights can be hacked!
4:14 PM Pearce can kick some ass! He'll need to since he's planning something big with his target.
4:11 PM You tap and hack into citywide surveillance using personal devices. Protagonist Aiden Pearce isn't well liked.
4:06 PM The new IP is Watch Dogs, introduced by Jonathan Morin. He's awfully enthusiastic about players being a hacker with the power to tap into a vast social network powered by personal data of millions. It plays much like GTA, complete with a large city to explore.

4:04 PM Finally, company co-founder Yves Guillemot shows up with a "new project", a new IP.
4:02 PM Ubisoft online and brower F2P gaming showcase with Trials Evolution, The Settlers Online, Ghost Recon Online, "and more."
3:58 PM Shootmania is already highly reminiscent of classic multiplayer FPS titles.
3:57 PM The Shootmania match is on between Counter-Strike pro-players! Using rockets and railguns in the game's Elite mode.
3:52 PM Tobuscus finally shows up on stage to help introduce Ubisoft's next eSport venture, Shootmania, a (surprise!) a FPS.
3:51 PM Though there is focus on the British forces being the "enemy", Conner must face foes from both sides of the historical conflict as he uncovers the Templars.
3:49 PM Aiming at ammo stores is one hell of a way to start a mission. Conner's target can't escape the chaos!
3:48 PM It isn't AC without climbing ledges, and Conner knows all about scaling trees and cliffs.
3:47 PM A mean grappling hook leaves a grisly trophy. Conner meanwhile retains the Assassin skill of kicking the ass of entire gangs of soldiers.
3:45 PM Conner is in fact fulfilling objectives through hunting. Conner isn't afraid to converse with soldiers, but he's all business when it comes to the Templars. Next he takes to horseback to approach a fort. The plan is approach silently.
3:44 PM Conner is an expert hunter and wolf ass-kicker, as long as it doesn't involve any gunplay. The demo is run on PS3.

3:43 PM Producer Francois Pelland now takes the stage to set the stage for ACIII. The gameplay trailer now begins in earnest with Conner navigating treetops.
3:41 PM Conner certainly knows how to kick British butt with tomahawks.
3:40 PM Ratohnhaké:ton, AKA Conner, isn't afraid of being a horse thief in the name of JUSTICE.
3:37 PM Finally, Assassin's Creed III! Another cinematic trailer set against the backdrop of the American Revolution.
3:37 PM The Ubisoft Wii U showcase continues with footage of Rayman Rabbids, YourShape, Sports Connection, Skid to Victory, Just Dance 4.
3:36 PM It was originally Killer Freaks from Outer Space.
3:34 PM Now a Wii U exclusive that drops you in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, go figure! Its ZombiU, rated M for Mature.
3:34 PM They've definitely caught the feel of Rayman with that demo!
3:29 PM Multiple players can use different controllers in different ways.
3:29 PM The Wii U GamePad touch screen can be used to control Rayman and co.
3:28 PM Rayman Legends will support GamePads and Wii U Pro controllers.
3:27 PM Well well, it's a Wii U software showcase! The first title is introduced by Rayman senior director Michael Micholic.
3:26 PM It's an all star cast of heroes all right, confirmed for multiplatform including Wii U.
3:25 PM A Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth trailer is next on the plate!
3:23 PM A brand new Blacklist trailer! It aims sheds more light about the "Blacklist" itself, if not Sam kicking more ass.
3:22 PM Splinter Cell: Blacklist director Max Beland confirms an "insane" reaction to the new title, unveiled at Microsoft's conference. He also confirms its the biggest SC title yet!
3:20 PM Hay returns to confirm Far Cry 3 will be all about exploration across an entire chain of islands.
3:17 PM Vaas is as charming as ever, as is the wildlife. But the trailer ends with another ominous warning from Vaas.
3:15 PM Of course it wouldn't be a shooter without the guns; Brody seems to take a lot of punishment however.
3:14 PM The jungle is as bright as ever, but Brody is out on the prowl with the stealth kills using both bow and knife.
3:12 PM "Warriors" are roused against our unstable friend Vaas, who we last saw picking on poor Jason Brody. But our hero is back with a mean new tattoo.
3:12 PM Far Cry 3 producers Dan Hay is on stage to introduce Far Cry 3 with a new trailer.

3:11 PM Life is fuel that powers Ubisoft's experiences for "Life Powered Play." Tyler also thinks we're all a little gay.
3:10 PM Toby "Tobuscus" could be our Mr. Caffeine this year, but possibly more useful with backstage info.
3:08 PM Tough crowd. :( Aisha Tyler is our host to help start things with Just Dance 4.
3:06 PM It's... a Just Dance 4 showcase? Complete with Flo Rida.
3:00 PM Bang of gong, Ubisoft is on after a minor delay in getting its official livestream started!

Course I know unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo got all their hardware and features talk out of the way in their Pre-E3 show, so that's going to be ALL GAMES. So they could totally steal Game of the Show at this point.
Add in some Deus Ex and Grand Theft Auto!
