Gears of War: Judgment officially revealed, cover features Baird or Cole
Kinda unexpected, more to come at E3
The next Gears of War has been outed and named, dropping the numerical business to adopt the title Gears of War: Judgment.
So who was that mysterious figure teased on the Game Informer cover? Neither Marcus nor Hoffman, but rather Damon Baird or Augustus Cole. We say "or" because the July issue will come in two varieties, boasting either of the Gears. Despite this curveball, we're still betting on some sort of prequel, judging by how clean both guys look and the fact that both are in full armor. A far cry from their disheveled appearances in Gears 3, and Cole looks a lot leaner than we remember.
Well played, Epic. We don't know much more about Judgment at this point; Microsoft is no doubt reserving the juiciest details for their Monday morning keynote. Epic-owned developer People Can Fly will be involved, however, though to what extent remains unknown at this point.
Check out the two covers below.
