I was one of the two people that loved the hell out of id's horror shooter Doom 3, but even if you hated it, you might be interested in this new remastered version coming out soon named Doom 3 BFG Edition. "Why?", you ask, eyebrows atilt. Well sir, I have two and a half words for you: armor-mounted flashlight.
One of the main complaints with the original was you couldn't shine a light on dark corridors and blast dudes on the same time, something later rectified with mods. In any case now there will be an official solution for all to enjoy. I'm one of one people that liked the freakin' limitation, but hey, whatever does it for you.
Besides that you'll get seven new levels dubbed "The Lost Mission", better rendering and lighting, 5.1 sound, achievements, trophies, checkpoint saving (at least on consoles), fine tuned console controls, 3D support, and...head mounted display support. Didn't see that one coming did you? Check it in action:
Doom 3 BFG Edition also includes Doom and Doom 2 for the hell of it. It launches in autumn on PC, 360, and PS3.
