A new Hitman: Absolution trailer shows off the game's Sniper Challenge "experience," which is a bit like a mini-game that you can play just by pre-ordering.
Available on 360, PS3, or PC, Sniper Challenge puts in in the shoes of Agent 47 as he undertakes a stealth assassination mission. It's not related to the core game, but IO developers note that it does offer an early taste of (some) gameplay content, meaning we'll likely see similar missions pop up in Absolution.
Sniper Challenge actually started out as a map idea that never made it into the game, but when the devs saw that people kept playing it, they realized the map had some potential that was worth exploring. Thus, Sniper Challenge was born.
For North Americans, this side adventure is available exclusively through GameStop, though we're not sure what's topping you from reserving the game, playing Sniper Challenge, and then canceling your pre-order to snag the game elsewhere. You know, assuming you don't like GameStop or just have the game reserved elsewhere already for some other pre-order perk.
