Lack of 4v4 explanation is kind of stupid...

Does that mean there will be 8 players in zombies?

Yeah I don't get it. 4 versus 4? Meaning 4 of the players are zombies? Or a team must try to kill zombies and the other 4 players?

Two teams of four competing for points, perhaps?

^ The 4v4 is competitive. Regarding Zombies co-op, Treyarch just said it'd be double the player count of Black Ops, which points to 8-player co-op. Went ahead and clarified. Hope that helps.

Interesting. I think 8 person co-op could get quite crowded, but I guess this is why they're using the multiplayer engine for Zombies.

nnnddd101010 Right, the multiplayer engine would allow them to expand the scale of Zombies as a whole -- more players, more zombies, bigger maps. They seem pretty excited for it.

Just imagine how look it will take at the box now with 8 people.

I'm worried that BlackOps 2 will get inferior rating compared to its predecessor!!..I enjoy BlackOps 1 a lot, I hope they can keep up with the hype!!!! That's all...

SP looks pretty amazing tbh, moves more cinematic in how particles, animations and script execution flow. If the whole game keeps up to that quality is in the air but it seems like they want to approach it in a new path while preserving the foundation of COD.

4v4 zombies is pretty vague but it sounds like we'll have team battles and hordes going on they're being really tight lipped about the feature right now while just asking fans to keep faith that they're going to make it bigger while still retaining the goodies of the old engine.

TBH i feel that this is the first time ina LONG time that a cod developer is giving their game everything they got. They are also picking up on their strengths better. Zombies has always beena huge part of cod since WaW, BO gave it a better game than WaW but still was left as the "back mode" compared to campaign and multiplayer. Hopefully in this every mode gets equal treatment and gets a good game straight out the box. I mean, we shouldnt need 40 patches to get the game at the standard it should have been at to begin with. Back on PS2 and PS1, there WERE no aptches, so games came perfect from the start. Patches have just made devs lazier. [/rant]

4V4 sounds like a L4D rip.

Increasing the player count for zombies to anything above 4 just takes away the feel of zombies in Call of Duty to be honest.

Not if they double or triple the number of zombies per round.. Think of it this way it just adds more depth. If you prefer playing zombies by yourself you can, if you prefer playing old school 4 player you can, but if you have 7 other friends you want to team with you now can.. This is merely an expansion on the tried and tested formula, I don't see how it takes away the feel it's not as if the mode was scary in any form so nothing is taken away it'll still be a challenge.
