007 Legends' first mission inspired by 1979 Bond film 'Moonraker'

Activision and Eurocom have revealed that 1979 Bond flick Moonraker will be the first movie-based mission to appear in 007 Legends. The upcoming Bond game, if you'll recall, is supposed to include plot elements from no less than six Bond movies.

Moonraker, for those unaware, starred actor Roger Moore, the man who succeeded Sir Thomas Sean Connery as James Bond in the early '70s. He held onto the role up until the '80s. Now in case the title hasn't already given it away, the Moonraker-inspired mission will involve space travel, as players are transported to the lair of Hugo Drax to face down Jaws, one of the most iconic Bond villains to date.

The Moonraker mission trailer also reveals the October release date for 007 Legends, putting it just about a month ahead of Black Ops 2.
