Thank GOD for analog sticks. Sure the button placement imo still isn't ideal at least its a big step in the right direction.

How big is the controller? It does look rather awkward to hold.

The controller isn't that big. Think about vita, this isn't different. Gearbox says already best controller ever. Don't worry nintendo is the best in this. 1 minus : it has clickable sticks.

I'd say it would be better if the sticks where below the buttons.. how can you reach them with your thumbs.. hold it upside down?

If it's uncomfortable, I think they'd know by now. It'll just be something to get used to. At least it will be easier than switching between the dpad and analog on the n64 controller.

That's exactly it, it looks difficult to access all the buttons. But hey, what do I know? I haven't actually held the controller yet.

Horrible positioning by the looks of it. Didn't like this controller before and I certainly don't like it now.

I don't like this controller much. It looks very bulky and awkward. I also will not be happy if certain rumors are true, and Nintendo is focusing on the controller rather than the console.

you guys have no slightest idea how important this news is and positive, this will shake the world.

i am out of words .... and im a big fan not just, i actually follow wiiu very closely and understand the tech and the industry behind these electronic entertainment products.

just dont take serioudly these unfounded comments and opinions from an avreage gamer kid on various gaming news sites, this is the best non-pointer controller ever made, hardcore compatible and very adaptible for combination with wiimote pointer-style controller.

how the general public takes these news pieces is also amusing, just becsuse most of the leaks and news is about the controller, which is what they could show early, doesnt mean nor prove they arent focusing on other aspects that yet to be shown, why would they show something that isnt finished.

general public opinion is usually a diluted result of assumptions and perception of various levels, communities differ by strength and consistency as well as effectiveness and defence; the minority of hardcore, knowledgable and active people lead the community. Most of the assumptions are as a result of lack of experience in knowledge of how the industry works, how the tech works, how consoles are made, the development and technical process ... then the results are amplified by the users way of thinking, attitude and belief system, ... jumping to conclusions is the most obvious sign.

just imagine what is the biggest point of keeping secrets and deploying NDAs, it keeps out the unknowledgable public because they would spread negativity because of the same thing i explained earlier. that material is work in progress ... and large companies wont spend tons of resources on and time massive project of trying to teach millions of consumers to be tech experts ... but thats not impossible with the help of a strong and self-policing community, effectiveness is measured in percent of a number of factors such as how many members are not inexperienced, the general community knowledge and understanding of concrete critical and unbiased thinking.
A great example is Blizzard Entertainment. They can afford to show work-in-progress material at events such as blizzcon, the vommunitx understands, yes there are sometimes a lot of stipid coments in blizzards bnet articles and news, but they dont have as much of an effect, the overall community strength is much higher, the community is self aware, bullshitters, trolls and angry attitude kids are quickly detected, even if they are in larger numbers they dont have the power to negatively purposely or not affect the overall community strength, variations are small.
To put this into perspective ... look at the apple community ... there are smart people but they dont have the same strength, the foundations of how that community has been constructed are nothing to be proud of (talking about 21c. mobile devices)
The company bets its profits upon exploiting consumer ignorance, apple devices are hugely overpriced.

Great community comes with a great company.

Salute nintendo, blizzard, relic, petroglyph, ..etc

.... epic and crytek have lost my spot on this chart, actually competing in an engine licensing arms race while not pleasing the consumers with much to be shocked at despite their superior technology ... its all in the psychology, not graphics.
Even if those games are commercially successful ... that alone doesnt speak of its quality and innovation, back to square one, if there wouldnt be ignorant consumers buying them, glorified crap wouldnt cost premium and progressively ceise to exist.
