After all the disappointments from BioWare and Mythic MMO's I think I'll pass on Elder Scrolls Online :/

I think the trend here is to make MMOs more accessible to single-player fans. I approve of this. Hated that period of time when everyone followed WoW and thought bigger raids = better game.

If there's one thing I loved about SWTOR, it's how they tried to contain a single-player experience in an MMO. Guild Wars 2 is trying to do something similar. Still not a fan of how TESO looks (aesthetically) though.

I agree I don't like the looks and will probably not play it but I like the effort.

I don't see the point in adding single player elements when the periods in-between them are still old-fashioned, terrible kill-10 and fetch quests.

Though I did enjoy the story portion of Star Wars, I don't it was enough to make it a good game.

Graphics seem fine, sure they aren't earth shattering and ground breaking like BF3 or GW2 but I play Battlefield Heroes and have done so for 4 years..."cartoony graphics" is fine by me.

Single-player elements...after playing TERA for the last couple of weeks, it has made me not only want to play with my friends but also solo at the same time...only Vindictus has ever made me feel like that but sadly they place Raid quests in between to force you into groups, sure you can solo those raid missions but not the best idea, so since the game allows it (Not best advised mind you) again, seems to be fine.

kill-10 and fetch quests as it is put...come on, they are the basis of every MMO and RPGs and secretly in other genres too. TERA has them and so far no issues, hell I even go back and do those exact missions again to help a friend that is lagging behind in levels and on other characters, so again it's fine but thankfully TERA mixes it up with quests.

Overall I'm still looking forward to what they have up their sleeves and hope this somewhat calms some of the community down or makes them interested in looking at the game...of course not going to keep or make everyone happy but hey, looks like they are willing to listen peeps

I'd hope so. There's no way in hell that I'd play the whole storyline with some ignorant DOUCHE.

ShadowJ Graphics and visual style aren't the same thing. My issue is with the latter, mainly.

Consider me skeptical, but hopeful. The more we blur the line between single-player story-driven experience and MMO, the better.

I suppose but then again the same thing was said about Borderlands. People hated it because the visual style was cel shaded and thus they automatically thought the "graphics" were crap.

To be honest I don't think the screenshots are a good enough angle to state whether the graphics or visual style is "bad". I would rather prefer to see game play footage before throwing it aside

As to the singleplayer and MMO blend...I think the below image sums up as to why it is important for the above to happen (Separate instances for solo players)

100% soloable sounds nice. Though I'd play with a couple of my close friends most likely, if there is an option. I'm interested to see what kind of teamwork stuff they let you put together. If it's as in depth as Oblivion at least, then there could be a lot of strategy involved in this game.

In an age of CoD online stuffs, I'd sometimes prefer 'solo' gameplay that I used to enjoy on Famicom or SNES back then...

Yes, it's great to hear 'soloable'...I do like online play, but occassionally, I'd choose solo over playing online games with 10 years old players!!

100% soloable is nice, I wonder how they will balance this, and I wonder if that means you can play in small teams. I loved trying to do 2-4 person through WOW but then in late game 40 man raids become the only real option.
