Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion enters third beta, nomadic Vasari unlocked
They're like the quarians of Sins games
Strategy fans can have another taste of Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion as the standalone expansion enters its third beta period this week. With the new beta comes a new playable faction as well: the Vasari.
The Vasari are a bit like the Sins version of quarians, but because this is Sins of a Solar Empire we're talking about, they're significantly scarier. As a whole, the Vasari race has been on the run for thousands of years from an unknown enemy bent on exterminating them. Driven from Vasari space roughly 10,000 years ago, they have since wandered as a fleet, dropping warning beacons in every system they pass through.
Like all the factions, the Vasari are split into Loyalists and Rebels. Vasari Loyalists continue their wandering ways, harvesting and destroying planets in the name of survival. Vasari Rebels, on the other hand, have grown weary of their nomadic ways and believe they can gather strength from their allies to face the mysterious enemy that pursues them.
